Marian McCraith

Marian writes both scripts and fiction. Her short stories have been broadcast on BBC Radio 4 and published in numerous anthologies and literary magazines. She wrote the script for The Reading Room and has co-written several stage plays with Steve Ashton (Bridge of Tears, Kettle of Fish and Too Good To Be True). She is a co-founder of Blue Lizard Theatre Company.

She teaches Creative Writing in colleges in the North West and has worked as a dramaturg and script reader for North West Playwrights and Cumbrian Playwrights.

Steve began his acting career in stand-up character comedy. More recently he has toured with Freehold Theatre Company (Kafka’s Dick, Hysteria, Three’s Company) and Cat’s Eye Theatre Company (April in Paris, Groping for Words, Bridge of Tears, Kettle of Fish, I’ve Been Eddie Viper). He wrote the script for Eddie Viper, has co-written several plays with Marian McCraith, and is a co-founder of Blue Lizard Theatre Company. His one-man performance of The Reading Room has been described as a tour de force”.
